We Stand with KS

Ka Lāhui Hawaiʻi proudly honors the enduring legacy of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the last royal descendant of the Kamehameha line, and her profound contributions to her people. We also pay respect to Princess Ruth Keʻelikōlani, from whom Pauahi inherited vast ancestral lands.

As the largest landholder of her time, Princess Pauahi’s kuleana was immense — not only for her ʻohana but for the future of all Kanaka Maoli. Her will reflected a vision for an independent Hawaiian nation and the advancement of her people through education and self-determination.

Ka Lāhui Hawaiʻi stands firmly in solidarity with Princess Pauahi’s legacy and the mission of Kamehameha Schools. We reject any efforts that seek to diminish her vision or demean our community.

We remain committed to restoring our ʻāina, upholding sovereignty, and perpetuating Hawaiian culture, language, and identity — the living legacy of Princess Pauahi.
